The Holy Saints chant Words of Truth; they meditate continually on the Lord of the Universe.
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਰੰਗ ਲਾਲ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੨੯॥

Meditating, meditating in remembrance, O Nanak, those who are imbued with the color of the Lord's Love are carried across. ||2||11||29||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The saints speak words of Truth, and remember the One every day.

Nanak says: remembering again and again, they are dyed deep in the One's love, like cloth in bright dye, and that love carries them across.

Soak yourself in love long enough and it dyes you through — and that color carries you.
The deeper layer

Love soaked in long enough carries you across. Sat bachan saadhoo kaheh nit jaapeh gupaal — the holy speak truth and remember; simar simar tare, har kay rang laal — remembering, they cross over, dyed deep in the Lord's color. The dyer's image, a favorite in this part of the Granth: soaked long enough, love becomes the color you are.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing have you done so often it has become part of who you are?
