In plain words

Just catching sight of You changes everything — one true glimpse and the day bears fruit. And Your words are a whole treasure chest of goodness.

Nanak says: all I want is to sit humbly among those who love You, learning from them. I give myself to You completely.

One true glimpse of what is real can make a whole day bear fruit.
The deeper layer

One glimpse of the One makes a whole life bear fruit.

Safal daras tayraa paarbarahm — fruitful is the sight of You, Supreme Lord. Darshan means a blessed sight of the One. Gun nidh tayree banee — Your Bani, Your sacred Word, is a treasure of goodness.

Then Nanak asks: paava-o dhoor tayray daas kee — let me have the dust of the feet of Your servants. That means sitting humbly among those who love You, and learning from them. It is humble belonging, not putting yourself down.

Think of the youngest player on a team, glad just to carry the kit bag and learn from the best. Naanak kurbaanee — Nanak gives himself to You completely, with love.

A Question to Sit With

Who do you learn the most from just by being around them?
