God is omnipotent, possessing all powers; He is obtained through the Perfect, Divine Guru. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

By Your grace I am set free, and the prickly sense of 'me first' melts away.

You hold every power, God, and I meet You through the Perfect Guru.

The prickly 'me-first' feeling softens on its own when kindness reaches it.
The deeper layer

This is the "Rahao" line, the pause, the center of the shabad. Tumree kirpaa tay chhootee-ai — by Your grace we are set free. Kirpaa means kindness freely given, a gift and not a prize. By that grace the ego melts away. Ego, called haumai, is the prickly "me first" feeling inside.

Think of an ice cube in the sun. Nobody punishes it. The warmth simply melts it.

Then: sarab kalaa samrath prabh pooray gurdayv — God holds every power and is met through the Perfect Guru. Grace is something received, and the ego melts in it.

A Question to Sit With

What melts a bad mood faster than anything?
