Nanak is carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||27||57||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You who make everything happen, cause behind every cause — please give me Your Name.

Nanak says: in the Sangat we are carried across, singing what is good about the One.

The best thing you can ask for is often something you then get to share.
The deeper layer

Karan kaaran samrath prabh, deh apnaa naa-o — the one gift asked for; naanak taree-ai saadhsang, har har gun gaa-o — carried across in the Sangat. The Name and the crossing go together.

SaadhSang is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Singing together, everyone is carried across.

A Question to Sit With

If you could ask for one good thing, what would it be?
