Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Supreme One, through the Guru, has kept its own children safe.

Peace, calm, ease and joy have come to me, and my service is complete.

You are watched over the way a parent watches a child.
The deeper layer

apnay baalak aap rakhian, paarbarahm gurdayv — the Supreme, through the Guru, watches over its own children; sukh saaNt sahj aanad bha-ay, pooran bha-ee sayv — peace and joy come, the offering made whole.

A Question to Sit With

When have you felt watched over and safe?
