In plain words

O my mind, sing the praises of the One forever.

By singing, hearing, and keeping the One in mind, everyone — high or low — is carried across.

Singing and truly listening to what's good needs no money, rank, or fancy schooling — so it's open to absolutely everyone, high or low.
The deeper layer

The great leveling appears right in the refrain: "whether of high or low status, all are saved." The practice Guru Arjan names — singing, hearing, remembering — requires no rank, no wealth, no learning. This is among the most democratic teachings in the tradition. There is no spiritual elite here. The child and the scholar, the powerful and the forgotten, all have equal access to the one thing that matters, through the simplest possible means: a song and an open ear.

A Question to Sit With

Why is it fair that the deepest thing in life needs no money or status to reach?
