Chanting Your Name, I have obtained supreme peace, and my anxieties and diseases have been cast out. ||1||

In plain words

Countless wrongs are wiped away by turning toward you; the sight of you drives sorrow off.

Saying your Name, I have found the deepest peace, and my worries and sicknesses have been thrown out.

So much of what weighs us down is the mind churning over old wrongs and future worries — and turning toward the One can let all that heavy stuff finally drop.
The deeper layer

The verse piles up the fruits of turning toward the One: wrongs erased, sorrow driven off, deep peace, worries and even "diseases" cast out. We should read the healing language broadly — not as a promise that devotion cures every illness, but as a picture of the anxious, guilt-ridden, restless inner state being unburdened. So much of our suffering is the mind's own churn: replaying old wrongs, rehearsing future fears. Guru Arjan's picture is of that churn stopping — the deep peace that comes when you stop carrying what you were never meant to carry alone.

A Question to Sit With

How much of your worrying is about things that already happened or haven't happened yet? What would it be like to set that down?
