The One has become kind, all on its own.
I have been set free, and I have become the very shape of joy; I am the One's child — it has saved me.
With my palms pressed together I offer my prayer; in my mind I hold the Supreme One.
Giving me its hand, the One beyond all has wiped away every wrong.
Notice the very first words: the One became merciful "Himself" — on its own, unprompted. The grace did not wait to be earned or even asked; it moved first. And the seeker's response is to become "the embodiment of bliss" and, tenderly, "the Lord's child." This parent-child intimacy is the raag's warmest register (see the neighboring "I am a child, You are my father," and Kabir's "You are my Father"). The image of the One "giving me its hand" is exactly what a parent does for a small child — reaches down, takes the hand, lifts. Grace here is not a distant verdict but a hand extended first, before you even reach up.
