Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I hold the Maker in mind and sing of it.

I have become fearless, and found peace, poise and joy, remembering the endless One.

The One that's too vast to even describe isn't cold or distant — holding it in mind is exactly what makes you fearless and fills you with peace.
The deeper layer

After the heights of the last shabad — the One beyond all description — Guru Arjan returns to the intimate and the practical: "I meditate and sing of the Creator," and the fruit is that "I have become fearless." This is the whole point of the vastness. The unfathomable One of Shabad 41 is not a cold abstraction to be admired from afar; remembering it makes you fearless and fills you with peace and joy. The infinite is not distant; it is the very thing that, held in mind, dissolves your fear. The One too vast to describe is near enough to steady your heart.

A Question to Sit With

How can something enormous and beyond understanding also be the thing that calms your fears?
