In plain words

I would give anything for someone who sings the wonder of the One.

I stay alive by seeing the teacher, again and again; within that one is the Name of the One.

When you love something deeply, you're glad to see anyone else who loves it too.
The deeper layer

Notice how life itself is described here: "I live by beholding" — the seeker survives on the sight of the teacher the way a body survives on food. This is viraha again, longing so deep that the beloved's presence is literally sustenance. And the shabad opens with self-forgetting admiration: "I am a sacrifice to anyone who sings the praises." The devotee's love spills over onto everyone who shares the love. There is no jealousy in real devotion — you are glad to see it in others, glad for anyone who carries the same flame.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt happy just being around someone who loves the same thing you do?
