In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

There is no one who has less to offer than I do, and no one as kind as You. So there is nothing left to test or to prove — You already know my whole heart.

Let me settle completely into Your words, the way a small boat settles onto a wide, calm sea. Fill me all the way up. That is the one thing I am asking for.

When you have nothing to prove, kindness is already there to meet you.
The deeper layer

ham sar deen da-i-aal na tum sar — none so empty-handed as I, none so compassionate as You. Empty hands are exactly what kindness comes to meet. jan ka-o pooran deejai — grant Your servant this fullness, this completion.

A Question to Sit With

What changes when you stop trying to earn kindness and simply let it reach you?
