O Lord of the world, this is Your lamp-lit worship service.
ਜੋ ਜਨ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੰਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo jan tumree bhagat karantay tin kay kaaj savaarataa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You are the Arranger of the affairs of those humble beings who perform Your devotional worship service. ||1||Pause||

O Keeper of the whole world, this is Your aartee, my little ceremony of love for You.
When people give their love to You, You take care of things for them. You set their days in order, like a parent looking after a child.
Turn toward the One with an open heart, and daily life is quietly looked after.
gopaal tayraa aartaa — Dhannaa, a simple farmer, calls his whole devotion an aartee. tin kay kaaj savaartaa — the One arranges the affairs of the devoted. The childlike requests to come are spoken to a Provider already trusted to look after His own.
