Now, I sing the Praises of the Lord within my mind.

My mind has been illumined and enlightened, and it is always at peace; I have found the Perfect True Guru. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

Now my mind sings the praise of the One.

A light has come on inside me, and peace stays with me always. I have found the Perfect Guru.

Peace from the Guru is a light that stays on inside, through every mood.
The deeper layer

A light has turned on inside, and the peace stays.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Now I sing the One's praises inside my own mind. bha-i-o pargaas — a light has come on. With it comes sadaa sukh, a peace that stays. It does not flicker like a weak WiFi signal. It holds steady.

The reason is simple: satgur pooraa paa-i-o, I have found the Perfect Teacher. This finding is not something that happens out there. It is a light turning on in here.

A Question to Sit With

What is the difference between a happy moment and a steady, deeper peace?
