Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

By the kindness of the saints I found the greatest happiness, and every chain fell away.

I gathered the true wealth of the Name, and with it, at last, I came home.

The one who lets the false wealth go comes home carrying the only wealth that lasts.
The deeper layer

At the end of the road, you come home rich with the Name.

Sant parsaad mahaa sukh paa-i-aa — through the kindness of the saints, I found the greatest joy. Saglay banDhan kaatay — all my chains were cut.

Then the seeker returns apunai ghar, to their own true home. They bring the Dhan, the wealth, of the Name. It is like a traveler coming home after a long trip with a suitcase full of gifts.

At the start, it seemed one small person was helpless. By the end, that same person is home and rich. It all came through the saints' kindness and the One's shelter.

A Question to Sit With

What does coming home to your truest self feel like?
