I would give him all my property, my soul and my heart; I would devote my consciousness to him. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

Is there anyone who could be that kind of friend to me?

To that friend I would give everything I own, my soul and my heart. I would give my whole mind.

A friend who helps you toward what matters most is worth more than everything you own.
The deeper layer

Help toward the One is worth more than everything we own.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Hai ko-oo aiso hamraa meet — do I have a friend like that? Meet means friend. Then the stakes go up: sagal samagree jee-o hee-o day-o — I would give all my things, my soul and my heart.

That shows how much the seeker values being helped toward the One. It is worth more than everything they have. Think of the one friend who helps you when you are really stuck. You would trade every toy you own to keep them. True friendship is measured by what you would gladly give for it.

A Question to Sit With

Who is a friend so valuable to you that you would share anything with them?
