Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Dyed in the Naam, colored through with the endless love of the One, the saints sing the praises of the One without form.
The beauty of the saints is their deep humility; their greatness is that they've tasted the joy of praising the One.
Loving the One who holds everything, they live in quiet delight, and their worries melt away.
The greatness of holy people comes from their humility.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Holy people, colored through with love of the Name, sing the praises of ayk nirankaar, the One without form.
saaDh kee sobhaa at maskeenee — the glory of the saints is their deep humility. That is an upside-down kind of greatness. On a sports team, the player everyone admires is often the one who passes the ball. Their greatness is in praising the One. Then anad, joy, fills them, and chind, worry, fades. Both come naturally from loving govind, the One who holds everything.
Who is someone you admire who is great precisely because they are humble?
