In plain words

Come home, my dear friend. The One has cleared away what troubled you, and the hard times are over.

The Maker has lifted you up, and your running and rushing is over.

Now, at home, there is celebration — music playing again and again, welcoming you.

After a hard stretch, there is rest and even celebration waiting for you.
The deeper layer

The hard times are over, and home is full of celebration.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Tum ghar aavhu mayray meet — come home, my friend. Apdaa bha-ee biteet — the trouble is past. Apdaa means hardship.

Naasan bhaajan thaakay — all the tiring running around has stopped. Think of the moment a long race ends and you can finally sit down. Then home fills with mangal, which means celebration, with music playing again and again.

A Question to Sit With

What is your favorite way to celebrate and rest after a hard week?
