In plain words

Every trouble that comes at me softens and falls away because of You; Your goodness shines out plain for all to see.

When someone sets out to hurt the ones You love, the harm has no ground to stand on — it simply comes undone.

Goodness shelters its own, and cruelty finds no solid ground.
The deeper layer

When you are held by the One, the harm aimed at you loses its grip.

Doot dusman sabh tujh tay nivrahi — every enemy and every trouble falls away because of You. The words of the verse are strong. They say the One quickly strikes down anyone who hurts the devotees.

The heart of it is protection, not getting even. There is an old wisdom here: ill will undoes itself. Picture a wave crashing against a big rock. The wave breaks apart, and the rock is still standing. The protection is real, and the harm simply loses its footing.

One more thing matters. If someone is hurting you, that is never something you just have to accept. Telling a grown-up you trust is always the right thing to do.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel picked on, what helps you feel protected rather than needing to strike back?
