In plain words

Every last thing that matters in a devoted heart's life gets quietly set right.

Even in these hard, tangled times, the One keeps that heart's honor safe and whole.

Even in the hardest times, the One quietly sets things right.
The deeper layer

Even when times are hard, a heart that belongs to the One is looked after.

This shabad opens with its Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Jan kay pooran ho-ay kaam — everything that matters in a devoted person's life gets set right.

Kalee kaal mahaa bikhi-aa meh names Kali Yuga, the difficult age. You can think of it as hard, tangled times, when a lot seems to go wrong. It is not said to scare anyone.

The weight of the line falls on the ending: lajaa raakhee raam. The One keeps your honor safe, even here. Think of an umbrella in a rainstorm. The storm is real, but you stay dry.

A Question to Sit With

When everything feels tangled, what helps you trust that it can still work out?
