The same Light shines inside every single being, and that Light is You.
By that Light, everything that lives is lit. When the Guru's teaching reveals it, you see it, and whatever pleases the One, that is the truest worship of all.
The same Light shines in everyone, and living in tune with the One is the truest worship.
This is the still center of the Aartee. Sabh meh jot jot hai so-ay — the Light in every being is that one same Light. Tis kai chaanan sabh meh chaanan ho-ay — by that Light, everything is lit. Think of one sun, shining through every window in town.
That Light becomes clear gur saakhee, through the Guru's teaching. Then the last line gives worship its deepest meaning: jo tis bhaavai so aartee ho-ay — whatever pleases the One, that is the true aartee. Beyond the tray of lamps, the truest aartee is a whole life lived in tune with the One.
