In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

I bow to the One, and I bow again. Sing the praises of the One, my King.

By great good fortune a heart meets the Divine Guide, and countless mistakes dissolve in serving and loving the One.

A grateful bow is where countless burdens begin to lift.
The deeper layer

Bow to the One, then bow again, and sing the One's goodness.

The first line is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Bandnaa har bandnaa — I bow to the One, I bow again. Saying it twice is like hugging someone and then hugging them once more because once was not enough.

Vadai bhaag bhaytay gurdayvaa — meeting the Guide is "great good fortune." It is a gift you receive, not something you earn.

Then, kot paraaDh mitay har sayvaa — in serving the One, countless faults dissolve, like mud washing off in warm water.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you feel lucky to have met or found?
