Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I am full and satisfied — I have eaten the food of Truth.

With my mind, my body and my tongue, all together, I hold the Naam.

Truth is the meal that fills you for good.
The deeper layer

Some food fills your stomach. Truth fills your whole self.

Taripat bha-ee sach bhojan khaa-i-aa — I feel full, because I ate the food of Truth. Sach means what is most real and lasting. Think of a snack that is gone in a minute next to a warm home-cooked meal that keeps you going all day.

Then, man tan rasnaa naam Dhi-aa-i-aa. Man is the mind, tan is the body, and rasnaa is the tongue. All three turn to the Name together. It is a whole-person practice, like singing with your whole heart instead of just moving your lips.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that leaves you full for the whole day, and what is gone in ten minutes?
