Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Everyone tries to describe how great the One is, but how could any words be big enough?
I come with empty hands, still learning, and it's the teaching that opens my eyes.
Its words are sweet, like nectar, and my heart settles the moment I hear them.
People weighed down by wrongs go and come back, round and round. The true Word comes to me through my Teacher.
There is no end to this treasure of love; the One fills everything, everywhere. And whoever polishes their heart clean becomes true, all the way through.
No words are big enough for the One, and the heart that scrubs itself clean becomes true.
Aakhan tot na bhagat bhandaaree — the treasure-house of love for the One never runs short. It is like a well that never runs dry, however many buckets you pull up.
Amrit bhaakhee — the Guru's words are sweet nectar.
The closing line is man maajai sach so-ee — whoever scrubs the mind clean is true. That person does not just find the truth. They become it, the way a clean window does not just let the light in, but seems to glow with it.
What does it feel like to polish your own heart, to clean off what doesn't belong?
