In plain words

When You are on my side, nothing dark can stick to me. Whatever mistake or shadow tries to cling, it slides right off, because the One who is all-powerful is holding me up.

When the One is on your side, no shadow can stick to you.
The deeper layer

The keynote of this whole shabad is samrath -- all-powerful, wholly-able. Kaalangaa is a black stain, a smudge of blame or wrongdoing. Guru Arjan's picture is simple: when the boundless One stands beside a person, no dark mark can find a place to hold. This is not a promise that you will never slip; it is the assurance that your worth is safe in something larger than any single stain.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel supported by something bigger than yourself, do your worries about your mistakes feel lighter?
