Since then, my restless mind has been satisfied. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

With the help of good and holy people, I turned my attention to the Name -- and from that moment my restless, racing mind grew calm and satisfied. The chasing finally stopped.

Turning toward the Name, a restless racing mind finally grows calm and satisfied.
The deeper layer

Sant parsaad har naam Dhi-aa-i-aa -- by the grace of the holy, I meditated on the Name. Dhaavat man triptaa-i-aa -- the running mind was satisfied. Dhaavat is the mind that sprints after one thing then the next; tript is the deep satisfaction that ends the sprint. This is a first-person testimony of relief -- the whole shabad is a settled mind speaking.

A Question to Sit With

What does your mind chase after most -- and what actually makes it feel satisfied?
