by those who are lovingly absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

It is a lucky, blessed thing to see the ones who carry the One's presence.

Their hearts have fallen lovingly into the Name, and they rest there.

It is a lucky thing to be near people whose hearts rest steadily in what is good.
The deeper layer

This one says it is a lucky gift to be near people who love the One.

Taa kaa daras paa-ee-ai vadbhaagee — by great good fortune you get their darshan. Darshan means sight, or being in someone's presence. Whose presence? Jaa kee raam naam liv laagee — the people whose love is held in the Name.

Liv is the quiet, steady attention of love. Think of a friend who is always calm and kind, no matter what the day brings. Just sitting next to them feels good.

That is what the verse blesses. Not a special place, and not a ritual. It blesses the company of people who live in that steady love.

A Question to Sit With

Who do you know whose steady goodness makes you glad just to be near them?
