Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, all anxieties are dispelled. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

The ones who love the One lean on the One the way you lean on a friend who has never let you down. Keeping the Name in mind — holding that living presence close — every worry inside them melts away.

The shabad's assurance: trust in the One, held in mind as a living presence, dissolves anxiety.
The deeper layer

When you trust the One the way you trust solid ground, worry melts away.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line, the heart of the shabad. Raam janaa ka-o raam bharosaa — the One's people trust in the One. Bharosaa is trust. It is not a nervous hope. It is the settled leaning of someone who knows the ground will hold. Think of flopping back onto your own bed without even checking that it is there.

Naam japat sabh miti-o andaysaa — through naam japat, all anxiety is erased. Naam japat means keeping the Name, the living presence of the One, in your awareness. Its fruit here is that andaysaa, anxiety, dissolves.

A Question to Sit With

Who or what do you lean on when you feel worried, and what does that trust feel like?
