Some hearts stay turned toward the One, resting close, the way you rest near someone you love. From them, pain and sorrow and confusion turn and walk away.
When the heart stays close to the One, pain and confusion lose their hold.
Har charnee jaa kaa man laagaa — the one whose mind is held at the One's feet. Resting at someone's feet is an old picture of taking shelter with them. Dookh darad bharam taa kaa bhaagaa — from that person, pain, ache, and confusion run away. Bharam means doubt or confusion.
Think of a small child after a scary dream. They climb into a parent's lap. The room is still dark, but the fear lets go.
This is a witness to shelter and inner freedom. It is not a promise that pain or confusion will vanish for everyone. It tells what changes inside a heart whose aim stays steady on the One.
Where does your attention naturally turn when things get hard — and where would you like it to turn?
