Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

With loving devotion, turn toward the One who holds all that is good, the treasure-store of every excellence.

Then you will find yourself truly welcomed and honored.

Turn to the One with loving devotion, and you are truly welcomed — honored from within.
The deeper layer

Love the One, and you will be welcomed home.

This is the closing line, where the Guru signs with the name Nanak. Paraym bhagat means loving devotion. It turns toward gunee nidhaan, the treasure of all good qualities, the One in whom all goodness gathers.

The promise is naanak dargeh paa-ee-ai maan — you will be honored in the Court. The dargeh is the Court of the One. Maan is honor. This honor is not a rank you earn. It is the natural welcome for a heart that has loved truly. Think of coming home after a long trip, and your family runs to the door. Nobody checks your report card first.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to be genuinely welcomed, exactly as you are?
