Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Grace poured over me and the One claimed me as Its own. And so, gladly, I keep the Name close and let it become the quiet rhythm of my days.

Grace claims you as its own, and the Name becomes the quiet rhythm of your days.
The deeper layer

This one says that grace makes you belong, and the Name becomes the rhythm of your days.

This is the closing line, signed with the name Nanak. Kar kirpaa parabh keeno apnaa — with grace, the One made me Its own. Belonging is a gift given. It is not a prize you earn.

The answer to that gift is naanak jaap japay har japnaa — keeping the Name as a steady rhythm inside.

Think of being picked for a team, and then gladly showing up to practice every day. Being chosen by grace and living the practice are one smooth motion.

A Question to Sit With

What is a quiet rhythm in your day that keeps you feeling like yourself?
