The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the Companion of His Saints.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man tan raataa raam kai rang. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Their minds and bodies are imbued with the Love of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Name of the One is the constant companion of the good-hearted. Their minds and bodies are dyed right through with the color of that love.

The Name keeps company with the good-hearted, dyeing them right through with love.
The deeper layer

The Name keeps good people company, and their love for the One colors them all the way through.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad, the idea the other verses circle. Har har naam santan kai sang — the Name keeps company with the santan, the good and true-hearted.

Then comes a lovely picture. Man tan raataa raam kai rang — mind and body dyed in the color of the One. Think of dropping a white cloth into a pot of bright dye. It does not just get a colored surface. The color soaks every thread. Love for the One soaks a person like that, mind and body together.

A Question to Sit With

What is a love or a value that has soaked so deep into you it colors everything you do?
