The One Is Shelter for Those Who Turn There

In plain words

The One who made everything sees clearly and judges truly — nothing real is hidden from that view.

And that same One is the protector of those who turn to it, especially the ones with no one else to shield them.

Existence is not blind to cruelty — and the One is shelter for those who turn there.
The deeper layer

This is the Rahao, the heart-line. Pooraa ni-aa-o karay kartaar — "the Creator does perfect justice." This is the reassurance at the center of the shabad: existence is not blind to cruelty. And the flip side of justice is protection: apunay daas ka-o raakhanhaar — "the protector of His servants." For anyone who has felt powerless before someone bigger, this offers the deep comfort of shelter in the One rather than a guarantee about how things will turn out. Justice here is not vengeance; it is the setting-right of what was pushed out of balance.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel small against something much bigger, what would it mean to trust that you are not unseen?
