In plain words

Please give me the steadying hold of Your hand, and lift me up when I've slipped and can't rise on my own. I feel empty-handed and small in my understanding — but You are always, always kind to those who feel low.

You can admit you feel small and stuck — kindness is exactly what meets you there.
The deeper layer

Hasat alamban — the support of the hand — and gartahu udhar (lift me from the pit): again the healthy image of being stuck and asking for a hand up. Mohi nirgun mat thooree-aa — "I am without virtue, my understanding is little"; per the guidelines we render this as empty-handedness toward grace ("I feel empty-handed and small"), not self-condemnation. The reassurance: toon sad hee deen da-i-aal — you are always kind to the lowly. Grace meets the one who admits need.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel low or unsure, what kind of help would feel best to receive?
