By the Grace of the Saints, Nanak has met the Lord; his mind and body are soothed and satisfied. ||4||14||135||

In plain words

I feel I have little goodness of my own — so please fill me with goodness, and let my mind sing the Name.

By the kindness of the wise, I have met the One, and now my whole being feels cool, calm, and content.

When you ask for goodness with open hands and stay near the wise, you arrive calm and content.
The deeper layer

The closing turn. Nirgunee-aaray ka-o gun keejai — 'to me who feels without merit, grant merit' — empty-handedness toward grace: goodness is asked for as a gift, not claimed. Har naam mayraa man jaapay — 'let my mind hold the Name.' Then the arrival: sant parsaad naanak har bhaytay — 'by the grace of the wise, the One is met' — and the felt result: man tan seetal dharaapay — mind and body seetal (cool, at peace) and dharaapay (satisfied, full). The whole shabad's plea to be 'carried all the way' is answered: the seeker arrives, cooled and content, in good company.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel truly cool and settled inside after a hot, stressful day?
