In plain words

Adore the Oneness, again and again. Let that remembrance be the rhythm of your day.

In good and holy company it comes to live in your mind. As it settles in, confusion, sticky clinging, and fear quietly lose their hold on you.

Fill the mind with steady remembrance, and fear loses its grip on its own.
The deeper layer

When the mind is full of the One, fear has less room to grow.

Har har har aaraadhee-ai — worship the One, Har, Har, Har. Saying the Name three times is like a drumbeat. It is simran, remembering the One again and again.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. It makes a promise. In satsang, the company of good and holy people, the One comes to live in the mind. That is man vasai.

Then bharam moh bha-o saadhee-ai — doubt, clinging, and fear are calmed. Bharam is doubt and confusion. Moh is the sticky clinging to people and things. Bha-o is fear.

Notice how it works. You do not have to fight these three head-on. Think of a glass filled with clean water. There is no room left for the muddy water. When the mind has something steady to rest on, the three thin out on their own.

A Question to Sit With

When your mind is full of something good, do the worries have less room to grow?
