Loving Deeply Overflows Into Wanting to Care

O Divine Lord, I worship and adore You; I bow down before You.

I offer this prayer to my Lord and Master. ||3||

In plain words

Let me tend to You with love every day, offering my care the way you'd cherish someone dear. I hold You in worship and gratitude, and bow my heart before You. As the humblest of the humble, I keep Your Name close — and I lay this simple prayer before the Beloved.

Loving something deeply naturally overflows into wanting to care for it.
The deeper layer

Deep love wants to care for the Beloved, every day, in small and humble ways.

Charan pakhaar karee nit sayvaa — I wash Your feet and serve You every day. Washing someone's feet is a picture of tender, devoted care. Poojaa archaa bandan dayvaa — I worship You, honor You, and bow before You.

Daasan daas means "servant of servants," the humblest place of all. Here it is chosen freely, out of love. It is not lowliness forced on anyone from outside. Think of bringing a cup of tea to a tired parent without being asked. It is not about being small. It is about love.

The whole verse weaves together seva, loving service, and simran, keeping the Name. Then it is all offered as bin-o, a prayer, to the Beloved.

A Question to Sit With

How do you show love to someone or something you cherish through small daily acts?
