Wake up, friend — don't drift through life half-asleep, doing harm without noticing.
There is a shelter that is tender to the humble and dissolves every fear; go and lean on it, and let it hold you.
The rahao. Nar achayt — the unaware person moving through life on autopilot; the call is simply to wake up to what harms and be more careful. The refuge is described by its warmth: deen da-i-aal (tender to the humble) and sagal bhai bhanjan (breaker of all fear) — echoing the Mool Mantar's nirbhau. "Be afraid of sin" in the literal becomes, in a child's voice, an invitation to wake up and stop drifting into harm — the emphasis stays on the fear-dissolving shelter, not on dread.
When do you do things almost on autopilot, without really noticing? What might change if you woke up to them?
