In plain words

Kans the king, and his champions Kays and Chandoor, seemed to have no equal.

But they never remembered the One, and they lost their honor.

Without the One who holds the whole universe, no one is kept safe.

Even the mightiest are unprotected without the One who holds the whole universe.
The deeper layer

Even the strongest are not safe without the One.

Kans was a king in the stories of Krishna. Kays and Chandoor were his mighty fighters. No one could match them. Yet raam na cheeni-aa — they never recognized the One. Apnee pat kho-ee — they lost their honor.

The last line is the lesson: bin jagdees na raakhai ko-ee — without the Lord of the universe, no one is kept safe. Jagdees means Lord of the world.

Muscles, weapons and armies are like a sandcastle wall against the tide. Strength without the One is no real shelter. The Krishna stories are told here with respect, as a lesson for everyone.

A Question to Sit With

What do you rely on to feel safe — and what holds all of that up?
