The teaching showed me the unseen home of the True One. That home is steady and never-changing — not a passing reflection, not a shimmer of the world's dazzle. Through truth and quiet contentment, my doubt melted away.
The teaching shows us a true home that never changes.
Saach mahal gur alakh lakhaa-i-aa — the Guru showed me the True One's mahal, mansion. It is alakh, unseeable, and yet the teaching lets you see it.
Its mark is that it lasts. Nihchal mahal nahee chhaa-i-aa maa-i-aa — the mansion is unchanging, not a mere reflection of maya. Maya is the world's dazzling, passing show. Think of your real house and its reflection in a puddle. One ripples and fades. The other stands.
The doorway in is saach santokhay — truth and santokh, contentment. Through them, bharam chukaa-i-aa, doubt is cleared away. Contentment is quietly the key. A restless mind, always comparing, cannot see the steady home. A content heart can.
When you feel content with what you have, how does your worrying change?
