Chanting the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, the body becomes peaceful and tranquil.

He dwells deep within - the pain of death does not touch Him.

O Nanak, serve the Lord forever; He is the treasure of glorious virtue. ||4||6||26||

In plain words

Keep the One's name moving in you, and the body grows calm and peaceful. The One lives deep inside, where the pain of death cannot reach. The One is its own master and its own counsel. So serve the One always -- the treasure of every good quality.

Keep the One's name moving in you, and even the pain of death cannot reach what is deep within.
The deeper layer

The fruit of remembrance is peace and freedom from the pain of death: the One dwells deep within, where that pain does not touch. The One is utterly self-sufficient, needing no counsel. The close: serve forever the treasure of glorious virtue.

A Question to Sit With

What gives you a peace that does not depend on everything going right?
