"You are the Maker, and for me there is no other. I serve You, and from You comes all my worth. When Your mercy flows, I sing." And the light of that priceless Name — the jewel of the One — shines out into the whole world for anyone to see.
This verse is spoken straight to the One: You are my Maker, and all my worth comes from You.
Too kartaa mai avar na ko-ay — "You are the Creator, there is no other for me." Oneness here is not an idea. It is a close relationship, like talking to someone you love.
Worth and honor, pat, come tujh tay, "from You," not from how important you look. Think of a medal. What matters is not the shine but who is proud of you.
Kirpaa karahi gaavaa — when Your mercy flows, I sing. Grace comes first, and praise follows.
The end opens wide. Naam ratan sabh jag meh lo-ay — the ratan, jewel, of the Name gives lo-ay, light, to the whole world. The treasure is not hidden away. It shines everywhere.
Where does your sense of your own worth come from? Does it depend on what others think?
