Verse 5 of 9

When Confusion Clears, You See One in Everything

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਮੁ ॥
gur kai bachan miti-aa mayraa bharam.
Through the Guru's Word, my doubts have been removed.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ॥੪॥
gur kai bachan paykhi-o sabh barahm. ||4||
Through the Guru's Word, I see God everywhere. ||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The teaching cleared away my confusion — all the second-guessing and doubt. And then I began to see the One everywhere: in people, in trees, in the sky, in the ordinary day. Nothing was left out.

When the confusion clears, you start to see the same One shining in everything.
The deeper layer

Bharam (doubt, confused wandering) is erased, and its replacement is the vision paykhi-o sabh barahm — "I saw the One in all." This is the Ik Onkar recognition: not a belief added to the mind, but a seeing that this commentary reads as healing the experience of separation. The clearing of doubt and the seeing of oneness are one event.
