The mind's endless running-around quiets down when you come to rest in the Sangat. And a kindness that has been reaching toward you all along lights up your understanding from the start.
The ones with true wealth are those whose riches are the One — they "trade" in the Naam, and it fills their days. Patience, honor, and a good name grow in whoever listens deeply to the Naam.
Nanak says: the heart that stays merged with the One — turned always toward the Guru — is lifted into a quiet greatness.
The wandering mind comes to rest in the Sangat, and its true wealth is the One.
Dhadha is the "wandering mind comes to rest" Pauri. Dhaavat ta-o mitai satsang ho-ay baas — the mind's running stops when you dwell in the Sangat. The money picture is delightful: dhan saachaa... sach saahaa (the true wealth makes true bankers), har... poonjee (the One is their capital), naam bihaasaa (they trade in the Naam). Dhur tay kirpaa — mercy from the very beginning — is a kindness reaching toward you all along: grace always present, never earned. Sarvan... suni-aa ties glory to Suniai (deep listening). The close, tih jan milee vadaa-ee — the merged heart receives greatness — a quiet, inward greatness, not worldly status.
If you could be "rich" in something that no one could ever take away, what would you want it to be?
