The One is truly known through this vast, living creation — the One who made the days and the nights.
I praise that true One, forever and ever; true is the greatness of the true One.
True is the praise of the praiseworthy One; a worth so great no one can ever measure it.
When the whole teaching is met, the One's presence comes clearly into view — right here, right now.
Those who follow the teaching and hold the One close — all their hunger is stilled.
A Pauri of the Fourth Mehl that grounds praise in kudrat — creation itself, the days and nights, as the visible face of the One. You know the Maker by the making. The middle lines echo an earlier praise-Pauri almost word for word (saalaahee sach salaah sach... keemat kinai na paa-ee), the deliberate refrain of this Vaar. The lovely turn is haajar nadree aa-ee — when the teaching is fully met, the One's presence is seen "right here, right now," not far off. And the close answers the hunger-theme of these verses: those who hold the One close have "all their hunger stilled" — the good hunger, finally at rest.
When you look at something in nature — a sunrise, a tree, the night sky — what feeling does it stir? Where do you think that feeling points?
