In plain words

I have made the One my closest Friend — the One who is able to do anything at all.

My whole self is devoted to that friendship; the One is the treasure held in my mind and body.

You can choose the One as your closest friend — the most powerful companion you could ever have.
The deeper layer

A dohaa (a two-line couplet form) of pure friendship. Ayk je saajan mai kee-aa — "I have made the One my saajan," my friend, my companion. The verb matters: friendship is something you do, a bond you form, not a fact you inherit. And this Friend is sarab kalaa samrath, "capable of every power" — the biggest possible friend to have on your side. Jee-o hamaaraa khannee-ai ("my soul is a sacrifice") means whole-hearted devotion, the natural giving-over of the heart to someone you love — and the One is named the vath, the "treasure," kept safe in man tan, mind and body alike. The most powerful being in existence, chosen as a friend.

A Question to Sit With

What makes someone a real friend to you? Could you imagine the One being a friend like that?
