ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
so nirmal nirmal har gun gaavai.
Those who sing the Glorious Praises of the Pure Lord are pure.
ਸੋ ਭਾਈ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
so bhaa-ee mayrai man bhaavai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
They are my Siblings of Destiny, so dear to my heart. ||1||Pause||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Whoever sings the praises of the pure One becomes pure themselves. Those are the ones I call family — the ones my heart truly loves.
Family is not made by blood or rank, but by a shared love of the One.
The Rahao. So bhaa-ee mayrai man bhaavai — such a one is my bhaa-ee, my sibling. Kabir builds family not from blood or caste but from shared love of the One. Singing the praises makes one nirmal (pure) — purity is of the heart, available to anyone. Foregrounds unity across every division.
