The many and various forms are always Yours, O Lord; they shall merge again into You. ||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Man or woman -- what can any of us really do on our own? All the many shapes are always yours, and they all melt back into you.
Every form -- man, woman, all of us -- belongs to the One and melts back into it.
The dissolving of gender and self-agency into the One: the many forms are always Yours and merge back into the source (Haumai). Man, woman, all forms are the One's, returning to the One. Commentators read this as the ground of a radical equality -- a broader application than the verse itself states.
