In plain words

O Kind One, gentle with the humble — I have placed all my trust in You.

And I have brought my whole family aboard Your boat with me. None of us is left behind.

Trust in the Kind One is a boat big enough to carry everyone you love.
The deeper layer

This one says trust in the Kind One is a boat big enough for everyone you love.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Deen da-i-aal bharosay tayray — O deen da-i-aal, kind to the humble, I lean my whole trust on You. This is one of the tenderest names for the One. It means even more from Kabir, who came from a community the world looked down on.

Sabh parvaar charhaa-i-aa bayrhay — I have brought my whole family aboard Your bayrhaa, Your boat. This trust is not a solo escape. It is a shelter big enough for everyone you love.

Trust here means putting your weight on something you can lean on, together. Think of a family climbing into one sturdy boat, with room for grandparents, cousins, and the dog.

A Question to Sit With

Who would you most want beside you when you're leaning on something bigger than yourself?
