O Beloved of all the worlds:
for even one instant, let me glimpse You.
Even one instant of truly seeing can open the whole ocean to you.
The rahao is the frog's simple prayer to see beyond the well: show me, even for a moment, who You really are. The Beloved is addressed as sagal bhavan kay naaikaa — the One of all the worlds, the very vastness the frog can't picture. And Ravidas asks for just one instant (ik chhin) of daras — a glimpse, a vision. He knows even a single moment of truly seeing would change everything. It's a beautifully modest, hopeful request: not "give me everything," just "let me see, once."
A Question to Sit With
If you could glimpse one big true thing for just a moment, what would you hope to see?
