O Lord, Har, Har, Treasure of Virtue, Merciful Lord: please bless me with Your Grace and forgive me for all my mistakes. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

These are my low, small actions, my One. Treasure of all goodness, merciful One -- bless me with your grace and forgive my mistakes.

Owning your small actions honestly and asking for grace is the way forward.
The deeper layer

Here the singer names their own mistakes honestly, then asks for kindness.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad, the idea the other verses circle. Ih neech karam — these are my low actions. Then comes the appeal. The One is gunvantaa, the Treasure of every good quality, and da-i-aal, full of mercy.

Think of a child who breaks a glass and goes straight to a parent to say, "I did it. I'm sorry." Owning up is the first step, and the loving answer comes after.

Guru Ram Das follows this pattern in these songs of a heart turning toward the One. First he names his faults honestly. Then that honesty opens into a request for grace and forgiveness.

A Question to Sit With

What is a "small" action you would want to own up to and move past?
